About my business and how I got here
I grew up playing cards with my family at my Grandmother's Texas beach house. These were halcyon days - magic time spent together. Fast forward to now - playing cards with friends and family can create that feeling of collective effervescence. It is important to share and pass traditions to our loved ones, so we have created these all-in-one kits to make the experience of sharing extra special! Each kit contains everything you or the recipient needs for a game of cards: a zippered canvas pouch containing a deck of cards, instructions, scorepad, pencil, and a game night recipe. Play ONze has a few extras: two decks of cards, round display cards and an easel for their display. Almost every age can get together to play something. It's a great way to create connections & memories between siblings, grandparents, cousins, old college friends & their kids.

We Dig Spades
Grab a few friends and get down with We Dig Spades! Spades started in the midwest in the 1930s. Soldiers traveling around the world during WWII helped to increase its popularity. The game's attractiveness during wartime stems from its simplicity, and it can be more easily interrupted than poker. After the wat, veterans brought the game back home to the U.S., where due to the GU Bill it became popular at colleges, as well as in living rooms and at kitchen tables. It remains widely popular in countries in which the U.S. troops were stationed, both during WWII and later deployments. We Dig Spades is a trick-taking game, the objective is to win at least as many tricks as you bid 2-4 players OR two teams of two (fave!)

MAD GIN
MAD GIN is straight up ready! A night in for Betty and Don? Gin is the quintessential quick card game for two people. Some say it came from a desire to get in a shorter play than poker. Elwood Thomas Baker was a reporter and cartoonist for a Brooklyn newspaper. Elwood and his son, Charles Graham Baker, a writer and producer of movies in Hollywood, invented the game of Gin Rummy in 1909 at the illustrious Knickerbocker Whist Club in NYC. It is rumored to be a play on words of some of their favorite liquors consumed while playing cards, and a not so subtle jab at the Anti-Saloon League who were gaining ground for the prohibition act in 1920. Can you picture the advertising campaign by Don Draper and the Sterling Cooper team? It can be quick, painless and get the job done just like Don Draper ... or a martini. Otherwise, keep going and rack up those points, endorphins and cocktail napkins! Be the first to gin or reach the point total 2 players
