Nicole Vollebregt Adidas’ first global head of women’s business and former SVP Global Purpose.
BIO: Nicole’s Adidas career began more than 20 years ago and has spanned leadership roles at Adidas’ headquarters in Herzogenaurach, Germany and Portland, Oregon. She has launched numerous initiatives at adidas, helping shape the brand into what it is today. Most recently, Nicole led Adidas Global Purpose, a group she created that oversees the brand’s initiatives around diversity & inclusion and social impact worldwide.
Nicole joined the company in 1997 in public relations, driving the brand’s communications strategy for large scale events including the Olympics and the FIFA World Cup, as well as iconic campaigns such as “Impossible is Nothing.” In 2006 Nicole moved to Germany as the Global Head of Public Relations and to lead the creation of adidas’ philanthropic arm. When the company created a Sport Style Division in 2008 she was tapped to start the Brand Marketing team with a focus on launching Adidas Originals globally. In 2011 she took the helm of the Global Brand Marketing team overseeing both the Style and Sport Performance Divisions. In 2013 Nicole launched the brand’s Newsroom, a network of public relations and social media experts located in eight strategic cities around the world, and in 2016, she led the Global Women’s team, creating the brand’s first holistic strategic business plan focused on women.
Nicole is from Toronto and studied at the University of Toronto. She lives in Portland with her husband, daughter, and golden retriever.
